    I grew up in Mesa, AZ and played football growing up. I am pretty sure that every single bone in my body is competitive. I think it is important to find an avenue that helps to push you to be the best you and Crossfit was just that for me. Crossfit has added so much to my life but not just on a fitness level. The community and sense of camaraderie has been a pleasant surprise. Everyone, regardless of the experience or fitness level is supportive and encouraging of each other. More importantly, to be able to surround yourself with like-minded people just makes sense.

    My better half, Angela, is very much a part of the business and helps facilitate behind the scenes logistics of our business. She and I have 6 kids between the two of us and we do our best to be role models to our children. We are very fortunate to be able to show them an active lifestyle is a great way to live and push yourself.

    Owning Crossfit LT has been one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. To be able to coach the members, encourage them and see how much dedication and hard work pays off is why I get up every day. I do my best to create a positive environment for our members and our coaches. At the end of the day, if I help one person feel better and become healthier than that is all I can ask for.

  • Garrett Janda

    Garrett has been training and coaching Crossfit since 2011. He has competed at the South West Crossfit Regionals in 2012 on a team as well as Nationally for Olympic Weightlifting. His coaching focus is to help individuals of all levels achieve their goals and realize their potential.

  • Daniel Crane

    I was born and raised all over the world, while my father was serving in the U.S. Air Force, but I am a Texan at heart. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Forces member right after high school at the age of 18 following in the footsteps of my father and hell-bent on making a difference and saving lives. I served in several locations overseas in the Pacific, Europe and deployed to the middle-east in support of OIF & OEF.

    When I was stationed overseas back in 2012, I was targeted by a local national who was an anti-American radical who had a personal vendetta towards U.S. Military servicemen and women. He shot me with a shotgun and slug shot at point blank range nearly taking my arm off. Without the use of my forearm and hand, I elected for an amputation to utilize a prosthetic arm for a higher quality of life and working out more efficiently.

    The reason I am so passionate about CrossFit is because it was the only constant in my life that was not taken away from me that night. I was doing CrossFit before my injury, and now I’m continuing it after. Charlie Mike to Recovery is what it’s all about, Continuing Mission to Recovery. Now I’m a CrossFit Trainer and will continue coaching and acquiring as much knowledge as possible to help others, especially other wounded veterans on their road to recovery as I work for the non-profit organization Wounded Wodders.

  • Carlos Villalpando

    I am originally from El Paso, Texas and moved away at 19 to serve in the United States Marine Corp. At the end of my military enlistment I relocated to Phoenix for a change of scenery. I attended Grand Canyon University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. I was introduced to Crossfit through my wife, Kasey, and immediately fell in love with the functional style of fitness. Shortly after finding crossfit I decided to get my Crossfit Level 1 Certification. With my background in Athletic training, combination of certifications, and continuing education in the healthcare field I hope to coach members to the best of my abilities by showing proper lifting and scaling techniques while still making it an enjoyable environment.

  • Colin Rigney

    Colin has been involved in the sport of Olympic weightlifting for over 10 years. In addition to competing and coaching competitive athletes over this time period, Colin has completed training through USA Weightlifting and has two certifications through the governing body: USAW Club Coach and USAW Sports Performance. He has been involved in competitive athletics for over 2 decades both as a youth, high school, and intercollegiate athlete as well as competing, coaching and teaching the Olympic lifts.

    Colin is a Physical Therapist who is currently employed with Rehab Arizona in Mesa, AZ. In addition to being a licensed Physical Therapist, Colin’s resume includes completion of an orthopedic residency through A.T. Still University, an Orthopedic Board Certification in Physical Therapy (OCS) with the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) and a Registered Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist (RMSK) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medicine (ARDMS). Colin also teaches part-time at A.T. Still University in the Orthopedic Physical Therapy department (Radiology/Imaging lab and lecture as well as Spinal Conditions lab assistant).

    Evan Booth is a Level 1 CrossFit coach and has been coaching for about 4 years. He has been doing CrossFit for about 5 years. His background includes hockey and a passion for fitness. He has recently relocated from Georgia and is excited about continuing his coaching career in the valley.

    In 2013 I found my love of Crossfit, I had joined Captain Crossfit in Prescott with my then husband in hopes of finding a way we could enjoy working out together. My now ex-husband and I had both gained 60 plus pounds while at the Bethesda military hospital, he had been recovering from wounds he had received in Afghanistan while on patrol with his unit. Like a frog put in warm water on the stove with the heat slowly rising, I had not noticed the weight creep onto me.

    In 2011 we moved to Prescott Arizona, and in 2012 I was diagnosed as having become a type 2 Diabetic. When the YMCA wasn’t cutting it for keeping my ex motivated to workout, he suggested we try out Crossfit. I was very leery of all the lifting, but wanted him to workout with me so I went and did the free trial. Needless to say I have been hooked on Crossfit ever since. Due to Crossfit and diet I have lost 60 pounds, worked my way out of being a Diabetic, I have kept the weight off and absolutely love lifting. I have my Crossfit L1 and my Crossfit Scaled instructor certification. I am also a I certified myo-fascial “Stretch to Win” stretch therapist. I am a certified EMT and was a Deputy for Yavapai County.

  • Kevin Bunn

    I grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia and lived there most of my life. I found Crossfit in 2013 when I was looking for a group of people to train with after my friends had graduated and left. What I found in crossfit was so much more. I gained such a better understanding of what being truly “fit” is. My first Crossfit workout was the baseline test….I didn’t finish it. It was that bad. Thankfully, my fitness has improved quite a bit since then.
    Always feeling compelled to help people, I got my L1 6 months later at Crossfit Mayhem. I have coached in VA, CA, and now AZ! I was able to work as a trainer under an American Open weightlifting and L2 seminar staff intern. While in California I coached 6 months full time and devoted all of my free time to training. I am looking forward to working with both classes and one-on-one clients at Crossfit Leiftime Fitness.
    Starting at Crossfit LT completely changed my perspective on being a member at a gym. I was welcomed with open arms by all of the members and especially, the owner, Mike Gordon. I have been a member at 5 different gyms in the past and I have had the opportunity to coach at all of them, Crossfit LT is by far my favorite. What I love most about being a part of Crossfit LT is how much the owners care about the members and their coaches.
    I enjoy working with athletes of all calibers from beginners to regional level athletes. My goal is to help Crossfit LT assemble a regionals quality team for the year 2019. Please let Mike Gordon or myself know if this is something that interest you!

    Howdy, everyone! I’ve been a bit of nomad for the past few years of my life. I’ve moved around between Arizona and California a good amount the past few years. I grew up in Prescott Valley, Az, and as a kid, my friends and I got into anything and everything we possibly could in a small town. We were constantly outside exploring every nook and cranny of our town. I played soccer in a youth league and later played in high school as well. I also ran track, but later had to stop soccer and track due to getting foot surgery my junior year, which led me to become a swimmer my senior year.

    After high school, my athletics took a halt while I was studying music in college. I stayed in relatively good shape but didn’t like that I felt like I had lost my athletic edge. I found CrossFit as a class offered by the college. Once the class started I was hooked! It felt incredible to feel like a part of a team again and have a coach. The workouts were challenging and I loved the opportunities to PR and aim for the Rx side of WODS. I had to put in a ton of work as I’ve never been the biggest athlete and hadn’t ever touched a barbell before CrossFit.

    After a few adventures in a forest, I got my CF-L1 and started interning at Captain CrossFit. Sometime later I moved to Cottonwood, Az on a hunch and opened up my own CrossFit gym. CrossFit Glide was such an amazing adventure! I got to spend every day with amazing clients and friends living out a dream of getting to coach. After two years I decided to part ways with the gym take a few more adventures in the forest and on the road learning how to use a camera and now I’m back into the CrossFit scene. You can find me behind the camera or under a barbell. I look forward to meeting you!
